When it comes to skin care, many of us follow a regimen to get a glowing complexion — cleanser, moisturizer, serums, oils, masks, and more. However, when it comes to healthier hair, we may not be getting to the root of the problem — our scalps. We often neglect this area because it simply gets the least visibility. Without regular exfoliation, it can leave our hair with clogged follicles or dry, flaky skin. We believe it deserves your undivided attention during your hair care regimen. That’s why we created our Avocado Mint Foaming Scalp Scrub.
Hair follicles are the areas from which hair grows. When they become clogged with sebum, debris, excess oil or styling products, it can impede the hair's ability to grow freely. Not only that, build up on the scalp can cause the skin on your head to flake and feel uncomfortable. That’s why it’s so important to give your scalp the exfoliation it needs regularly. Our foaming, sulfate-free formulation is made for any hair type, whether you have super straight tresses or curly locks. The plant-derived cleansers and exfoliators work together to wash away impurities and unclog your follicles. The restorative botanical oils stimulate the skin and senses to make you feel more renewed. This treatment helps you have healthier looking hair that’s no longer weighed down by unwanted build up, making it easier to style.
Key Ingredients include:
- Bamboo powder: Exfoliates your scalp to lift away debris and styling product build-up.
- Phytic acid (from Rice): Gently breaks down dead skin and clears follicles.
- Peppermint oil: Provides a cooling, stimulating sensation and a refreshing aroma.
- Avocado oil: Antioxidants and fatty acids nourish and protect dry or stressed skin.
- Tea tree oil: Purifying properties help to balance dry and flaky scalp conditions.
How To Use: 1-2 times a week, wet your hair thoroughly and scoop out a few tablespoons into your hands. Add a small amount of water and rub together to activate lather. Gently spread the scrub from hairline to crown while using fingertips to massage scalp. Rinse well. For those with longer hair, we recommend applying to the back of the scalp as follows: bend forward until hair hangs down, away from the neck. Apply scrub along the hairline at the nape of the neck and massage it towards the crown.
What To Expect: The exfoliating particles should wash down the drain as you rinse the lather from your hair., However, those with thicker hair may want to shampoo after to use to remove excess particles before conditioning.
Pro Tip: Always follow up with conditioner. We recommend our Avocado Mint Hair Repair — this deep-conditioning treatment restores strength and shine with intensive moisture therapy.
